Kathy Surber Moore, ACP

Kathleen (Kathy) Surber Moore was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia. Kathy attended Walters State Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Paralegal Studies graduating summa cum laude in 1999 and attended Tusculum College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management graduating magna cum laude in 2002. She is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and was also a member of the Tennessee Paralegal Association, serving as Vice-President during 2000 and 2001 for the Knoxville Chapter, and is now a member of the Smoky Mountain Paralegal Association (SMPA), as well as the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) .  In 2004, Kathy successfully passed the comprehensive examination of the National Association of Legal Assistants, making her a Certified Legal Assistant (or Certified Paralegal).  In 2006, Kathy also achieved the Advanced Paralegal Certification in Discovery, allowing her to use the designation "ACP". Kathy is currently an Adjunct Faculty Member at Walters State Community College, and a member of the Advisory Committee for the Paralegal Studies Program at Walters State Community College.
