David T. Kristy, CLM - Firm Administrator

David T. Kristy, CLM, was born in Detroit, Michigan but spent much of his childhood in central Florida.  After four years of military service (U.S. Air Force 1977-1981), and obtaining an Associate's Degree in Photography from the University of Maryland in 1981, Dave received his Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan in 1984.  He was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Michigan in 1986.  His experience includes 6 years as a CPA with the International Accounting Firm of Price Waterhouse, from 1984 through 1990, rising to the level of Audit Manager.  He then spent one year as the Director of Corporate Accounting with the Mueller Brass Company in Port Huron, Michigan before relocating to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1991, and becoming the first Firm Administrator for the accounting and consulting firm of Pershing, Yoakley & Associates (1991-1997).  Dave joined Butler, Vines and Babb as Legal Administrator in late 1997, and obtained Certified Legal Manager (CLM) status in May, 2002.
