$1.1 Million Judgment Awarded in Drunk Driver Case

On March 3, 2003 Butler, Vines and Babb obtained a Judgment in the amount of $1,125,000 for damages sustained in an automobile accident involving a drunk driver.  Testimony from the Bradley County Sheriff's Deputy regarding the outrageous conduct of the drunk defendant led to the Court awarding punitive damages against the defendant.  The Plaintiff's testimony regarding medical bills, lost wages and loss of earning capacity resulting from the injuries formed the basis of the award.
